Rotary Pink Walk a Success

In series of three events to sup- port the McGrath Foundation the Rotary Club of West Tamar hosted the Rotary Pink Walk. 74 participants walked fromBeauty Point to Beaconsfield toraise funds and show aware- ness for breast cancer. Ap- proximately $800 dollars was raised as apart of this singular event with two other events held being the “Launch into Pink” held at the BeaconsfieldNeighbourhood House event and “Pink Mocktail Party” held at the Moon Lily Kitchen.

The McGrath Foundation is a breast cancer support and education charity in Australia, which raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Austra- lia and increase breast health awareness.

McGrath Foundation funds Breast Care Nurses in com- munities right across Australia.They currently have 135 Mc- Grath Breast Care Nurses, who help individuals and their fami- lies experiencing breast cancer by providing physical, psycho- logical and emotional support, for free.
